Intentional Thursday: Grace

My people, it's Thursday again, and for some reason, not sure why, but Thursday has always been my favorite day of the week....

This is my last summer Intentional Thursday blog; next Thursday I will be in Ghana, the Thursday after that I will be traveling back from Ghana, and the following Thursday I will be in school.. And, "The Beat Goes On!" Time sure does fly when you are working on yourself: Get Busy My People!

From last Thursday until today, and hopefully forever, we were suppose to be Intentionally Happy. By focusing on the positive side of most things, mediating, being present in every situation presented, practicing gratitude, I must admit that I was completely Intentionally Happy this past week, and being happy is good for the soul and the body.

I had a weekend of cycling in the Shenandoah Valley last weekend, I traveled to Atlanta to see my mom, and I traveled to Mobile, Alabama for my 25th class reunion.  My happiness level was Intentionally to the sky. I woke up each day and focused on how I wanted my day to be, and I got exactly what I wanted: happiness.

Intentional Thursdays has been a strong confirmation that we have a say in the kind of life that we live, and I don't know about you, but I feel empowered! I am excited about this life and the possibilities, because I know that the sky is the limit.

However, I think that I have discovered the final piece to this puzzle: Grace!

For the next week, and maybe forever, let's Intentional practice Grace. Grace, when used in terms as to what God gives to us, is the unmerited favor of God. However, Grace, when we use it to describe what we give to other people, is known as forgiveness. For instance, when someone says something that offends us, we can chose to not act out, but instead silently offer him/her forgiveness or Grace. When someone cuts me off on the highway, I will offer the person Grace and keep it moving. When my boss makes a mistake or tells me something that I don't like, I will silently offer him/her Grace. I strongly believe that most people are not walking around trying to find ways to make us angry, irritiated etc....So, let's chose to not be offended, mad, put off etc, we will just silently offer Grace when it is needed. My people, I can not wait to hear how this works for you.

"Grace is Sufficient for Thee!"

Happy Intentional Thursday, My People!
