"Don't Ever Worry; I Got You!"

Most of us LOVE certainty and hate uncertainty Right? We like to know exactly how everything is going to work out....Not knowing causes most of us to worry or stress right?

Well, there is one area in my life where I feel complete uncertainty. I have been led to only discuss this situation with God. Today, I slipped up and talked to one person about it, and I instantly knew that I was being disobedient. I'm not going to beat myself up about the mistake; I'm just not going to repeat the mistake.

However, God is ALWAYS giving me signs that "He got me; I have no need to ever worry!"......

Today, two incredible things happened. In the grand scheme of life they are small things, but I believe that life is about a lot of small things which lead to something big. I hope this makes sense to you...

Today, I went to my favorite bike shop to have a tire repaired and to order a new bike. (EXCITED!) I have not had a flat tire in forever, but I figured that I needed to get a tube and all of the other things that I may need just in case one of my tires goes flat while I'm out riding.

I made my purchases, and I must admit that I was a bit distracted thinking about that uncertain area in my life. I got a missed called on my cell phone. The number was not familiar, but something told me to call the number back, and I obeyed. It was Bennett from the bike shop, and he told me that I had dropped my wallet and someone had given it to him. While I was talking to Bennett, a lady left me a voice-mail stating that she had found my wallet, and she left her number for me to call her back.

I went back to the bike shop and My People, Bennett had my wallet with everything still in it: my bank card, drivers license, credit card etc.

When I got back in my car, I distinctively heard "Don't ever worry; I got you." (Not the exact words, but you get the point.)

I went home to prepare for my Tuesday night hill ride that I do almost  every Tuesday with quite a few of my cycling buddies. We were riding, I was keeping up on the first hill, I did ok on the second hill, and then my back tire went flat. Remember, earlier today, I listened to that voice within and bought all the things that I might need just in case I got a flat tire while out riding.

Well, right before the flat, I saw a fellow teammate, Brian. We rode together and talked, and he was there when my tire went flat. Brian changed the tire and stated that "This is what being on a team is all about." (This made my heart so glad!)

My people, I must confess that I do not have a clue how to change a tire, but I not only had the things that I needed to fix the tire, but Brian just happened to be there to change it.

I heard it again "Don't ever worry; I got you."

My people, I could go on and on and on and on telling you about things like this that happens to me all of the time: confirmation that God Got Me!

Now, I can hear in my head many of my readers saying, "I don't like uncertainty!" And, I can guarantee you that you are living an average life and not the extraordinary life that God wants you to live. With God, there is uncertainty and that is called faith. Uncertainty is the time when we must guard our thoughts and words, and speak into existence exactly what we want. (We can't be moved by what we see or don't see!)

As I was thinking about writing this post, I thought about Dr. King and The Montgomery Boycott. With that movement, there were no guarantees of the outcome. I am sure that Dr. King and everyone else involved had no idea of what the outcome would be, but they had to move. One thing for sure, the people could accept what was, or they could move into that place of uncertainty and expect great things to happen, and good things did happen....

My people, let's get comfortable with being uncomfortable knowing that all things work out for our good!

"Don't ever worry; I got you."
